The whole Legacy debate wrapped up.

I switched from XI to XIV 4 days after I would have had Legacy, I played solid for the last 5 months of 1.0
I have 4 level 50 jobs.. well you can see from my sig. I did all, missions, primal battles ect. before end.

My BF played for a week at XIV start, played again when I started for a week, but he quit at level 15 and said he'd wait for ARR.
He's Legacy

The problem isn't legacy/ non-legacy, it's the horribly flawed way SE decided to make people Legacy. I wished they'd at least given all 1.0 players equal chance.

For a lot of people they played all along, for many others they quit but still made legacy. My BF is a good example of this, he couldn't care less about 1.0 while I loved it! yet he's Legacy for playing 2 weeks..

While I'm disappointed I missed Legacy by so close, I'm still very excited to play ARR, and considering how much I loved 1.0 even if I have to wait until Phase 3, I know ARR is going to be even better!

Just my 2 cents because I know there's a lot of people with strong feelings today.

6 Months actually. Because they gave you so many free months you only had until June. June 30th was the cut off. That's it; that's the only date that matters.There wasn't a I'll pay for an extra month and can get Legacy option. Most of you are confused because you're listening to what SE said, not what actually happened.
Once again: I started playing July 4th> Aug> Sept> Oct> Nov> And I played all the way up to Dec having fun and messing around with Synth, and people in my LS still playing.

I didn't' get the Legacy Chocobo: Ok no big deal.
I have to pay 5$ more a month: Ok that's fine, I don't mind paying for quality
I'm not guaranteed to get into Beta until Phase 3: huh?

So, are there more things only Legacy will get access to as well?

And now I read this article:

"Legacy players will still have to build their reputations from the ground up, of course, but they'll be starting at a slightly different point compared to new players. Yoshida impishly hinted that the full cinematic trailer offers a clue as to what Legacy characters will experience. So.. I'm really hoping this Author is confusing 1.0 Players with Legacy players. That they are confused that Legacy doesn't = 1.0 players. OR.. They have CS's that only apply to Legacy players now?
Or are the markings the Chocobo gets, and Dalamud marks only for Legacy as well?

So, once again:
Legacy: I played before June 30th, If you started after this point. You're part of a group that is left out. People contacted SE and tried to pay more, they wouldn't let them, and you can't receive Email and warning about Legacy status for a game you haven't played yet, You could play 1.0 for Twice as many months as they said were required for Legacy and still not get Legacy because of their price model; these are not difficult concepts; does everyone get it now?"
