    Friend of mine did this and he did not have to wait for them to send him an email with his code. Said he followed Bayohne's post submitted all the relevant info and got an email back to call them. Called them up reverified all his info with the rep and he was given his beta code right there over the phone along with the link to the registration site. Sounds to me like you just got a rep that didn't get the memo about whats going on.

    Or that a very specific situation and they'd like to avoid it so they decided to get everyone to just email it. If you are legacy, of course.
