    did comcast IP ban Square Enix?

    I am just asking. I know when I was trying to get an email from the tech support line. the guy sent me an email and I never received it. Comcast has ip banned other MMO companies when their users click spam too many times.

    can you please check this out with Comcast.

    an IP ban means that no email will go through, not even to a spam folder.

    I've never heard of such things. If anything it's either pure speculation or a thought up conspiracy theory. I've always had Comcast (since we moved from dial up during the 3rd astral era) and have never had issues with them blocking anything...ever.

    BTW if you are concerned of this, why use a Comcast.net email address?

    and best way to know for sure would be to call them.... 1800-comcast

    I've seen two other incidents where Legacy people from Comcast haven't received their e-mail, however I have a friend in California that did. Maybe it's an issue with an e-mail server in a different region of the US?

    I will confirm this so far that 4 people I know in different regions that hasn't received an email. I'm just hoping it is simply delayed or I have to wait my turn.

    It's possible I'm pointing out the obvious, in which case I apologize, but did you check your spam folder? also about a week ago SE posted a reminder on lodestone to check your account information and make sure your email information was correct. Have you done both of those yet?

    You can add another case, I have the same issue. Can say I'll never be using my Comcast email anymore. I am a legacy member, my spam folder is empty, and the email is correct in my SE account for FFXIV. So I'll go with Comcast blows. Hopefully this can be resolved.

    i don't know if it is true or not. I am just trying to make sure it is not an issue. I have had accounts with other game companys that I can't recover because of comcast ip bans.

    Comcast has in fact blocked Square Enix emails. (please see threads under General discussions). I called them myself and said they would temporarily lift any block from Square, but I do not have any new emails.

    Square Enix needs to handle this issue and unblock their IP address so Comcast email users can receive their key/invites. There is a form they would need to fill out to remove the block. Comcast told me that the reason SE is blocked is due to the amount of email they have sent and the volume of comcast users that have flagged their own personal email as spam. Some may have gotten through, however, after thousands of attempts and now Comcast emails are blocked.

    Can a community rep or someone that can resolve this please fix it?! You offer NO support via phone or live chat.

    Also, Comcast says that once the email is flagged as spam in their system, the email is deleted and cannot be recovered. So, us Legacy with Comcast will not get the invite.

    Any way you can update the key/invite on the actual Square Enix account system? Seems that would resolve it 100%. Either that or we call have to use an alternate email or wait for weeks for you to resolve the spam issue and be put on a "white list" which means no matter how many emails you send they will not be flagged as spam.
