Eorzea is boring as hell right now, the outdoor maps need like 3 times more mobs and please, tons more AGGRESSIVE mobs would be welcome. There is so many spots on outdoor maps without a single mob in sight. I don't mean to put a mob on every square inch on the map but seriously i been able to get every camp in Mor Dhona at level 9 incredibly early in game (day 2 i think, yay for me) but that's pretty lame of SE.
I barely ever get that feeling of being in danger when walking in uncharted lands when exploring in FFXIV. FFXI was so nice for that "danger feeling" specially when you were going to places like Jeuno for the 1st time.
This. It's exactly the same thing as it was in FFXI, and most RPGs and MMORPGs that I've played, so I'm used to it and it's personally exactly as I expect. In FFXI we fought bunnies, worms, bees, and crabs... so I don't really see the point.
They've introduced Goblins, and they've made it quite clear they are planning to introduce other beastmen in the content patches/possibly expansion. And as you get higher in level, more "monster" looking critters show up as well.
Talk about a silly thing to whine about.
I know FFXIV development is slower compared to certain other games, but that's how SE rolls and that's how other MMORPG rolls. However, anyone that's familiar with FF in the series overall, should expect that FFXIV will eventually get some epic mobs. You're not going to see giant or bad ass looking mobs in the first 20 or 30 levels.
Hell, most likely you're always going to keep fighting and grinding on 'zoo' animals (and humanoids as well given the guildleves we have I guess) to level up, and fight some real epic monsters in the endgame, when it comes eventually.
Given how this game is looking and the storyline we know, I'm pretty sure we'll eventually have combats with humanoid races, making FFXIV even more 'FF Feel' than FFXI Ever was. (Remember FFXI battle with humanoid people [No, not counting lamias and merrows] are very rare. There's a few fights that involves with fighting mithras, and some assaults that involves with fighting humes and other races, and of course the fomors, which again don't necessarily count).
Level 50 is definitely not the end all and be all, anyone with common sense should know this. As the level caps go up, and as we get expansions, we'll certainly get more monsters. I think we'll start seeing some great stuff as the game continues to get revampled.

This game should be called Zoo Raider XIV
If they add robots I will be very disappoint.
well most people do nothing but grind coblyns, puks, dodos i grind other, dremites, goats and what ever changes the pace since im not trying to level to 50 on every class as fast as i can like 90% of people do.
change what you do from the norm and you'll have more fun in the currently empty world
