Makes me miss the Fatigue system.
Just like Shougun says. In 1.23, you had a few ways to lvl compared to ARR and PLing was the quickest (if Wolf camp wasn't taken). In ARR, they are adding Level sync, FATE events and the lower than 45 dungeons (they are for leveling). I expect the dungeons to be pretty popular since you can upgrade your gears and get good exp at the same time.
You were actually able to kill other people's mob too (even in Alpha... killed quest mobs for a random player I came across).

Aw man. You were gonna enjoy the beta until you broke the alpha nda.Just like Shougun says. In 1.23, you had a few ways to lvl compared to ARR and PLing was the quickest (if Wolf camp wasn't taken). 2.0 does not eliminate power leveling. Level sync is simply an alternative.

It would if that were the only way to powerlevel..
The previous system in 1.XX was same. There were many types of PL.
/partycmd leave and then AoE Kill...
Or you could have a WHM stand back and Sacred Prism + SS or regen , toss Aerora/Stonera on mobs from another party (or BLM... any job that can easily AoE and kill lots of mobs)
Or how Doc Mog's video showed a 42-50 PT "power level" the 42's to 50.
So.. Having XP break off if level spread is too high.. yea. Gonna say it won't break PL.
In v1 leveling solo through leves was also very fast... Especially after your first job to cap. You'll usually end up not using them for weeks on end and find you have 99 available. Nothing close to Raptor or Wolf parties, but you didn't have to wait for anyone or stand around to find reps 20 minutes in.
The rewards from them kept your gear repaired and allowed you to buy NQ level appropriate gear all the way through. Was a pretty good system actually.
