thats why this next month is so crusial because 6 months have been "wasted" to the outside observer. The big changes to the battle system are going to be on patches 1.17 (+ 1.17a) and 1.18

I'm starting to get worried about the fate of XIV. Part of me feels kind of like it should die already and just become a F2P MMO, and part of me really wants to see it recover. lol

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Right now, the video game community doesn't have much to talk about. If SE comes out sometime before April 19th with some huge information, the word will be able to get out that FFXIV is on track to becoming one of the best MMOs of all time. If they wait until after April 19th, news about FFXIV will not be center stage.

Yoshi and friends should take advantage of the last few weeks to come up with some sort of huge announcement about FFXIV that will take the community by storm. They need to take advantage of the time they have to take center stage and the spotlight while they can.

Hmmmmmm problem I see with your conviction there is that in the past whenever some big game was SUPPOSED to make a huge splash 9/10, it didn't. Rift is hugely successful and mostly came out of left field, nobody saw that one being that big right away. So whatever it is you're talking about color me skeptical.

MMOs that were supposed to be HUGE: Vanguard, Warhammer, Age of Conan.

Oh wait is it TOR? Because I am waiting for that regardless, not entirely convinced this is the next MMO Messiah though. Sorry for derailing your thread OP.
