This is only half true. Existing players can play with new players (PC or PS3) as long as the new player chooses the same server that the existing player's character can access.


All existing characters (at launch) can access servers A,B,C,D, and E.
All newly created characters can access servers A,B,C,D,E,F, and G.

New players can choose the alternate servers so they can experience a game with no established playerbase or economy, so that they can be on the same table with other new characters.

I think what Meat was referring to was if all space in one server has reached it maxed capacity due to how many existing players returned then new characters couldn't register in it for a while.

Yeah i wasn't sure if new can join existing off the start or if they will make then wait a bit.
