Thread: 1.0 Nostalgia

Good topic There will be many things I remember from 1.X, some I will miss some I will just remember and laugh about. Things I remember and still smile about are Retainers with no search function ( I can remember asking LS if anyone had run across an ingredient in the wards, just to have one reply yeah I think there was a lala retainer selling it in X ward.) I remember keeping the same guildleves and failing them every time. I remember sitting at horizon and racing to the Behest NPC. The challenge of the darkhold and the joy of beating the Ogre for the first time. Getting that Battle Regime perfectly timed with the whole party. Finally figuring out where black sole were fished and making great money selling them ^^. And really just experiencing all the changes to the game patch by patch.

There are so many memories but probably my favorite times were the crafting circles my LS would have at "The Spot" just everyone sharing mats and BS'ing in chat and on Mumble. I hope crafting will be just as central to ARR, I am looking forward to Beta and all the good time to come.

It's actually kind of nice that all of us like this game so much and can't wait for the rerelease. It's clear where yoshida gets his determination from.

(the funny thing was after we relogged in again, we ended up in this same very spot, but minus Iffy, while others had to teleport to get out of this dead end... a few stayed to do some crafting lol)

For how bad the game (initially) was and how many faults it had, I've never found a better community in an MMO. Really missing my shellmates lately. Still talk to them on Guildwork, but it doesn't really feel the same without seeing their avatars despite the fact that I'm still just staring into a monitor.
