Couldn't have said it better myself. That opening was intense. in more ways than 1. Impeccable storytelling.I got my copy of The Last of Us today and since we still have till Friday before the beta servers open up again, i figured "now a good time as any to give it a go". So, i turned on my PS3 and popped the disc in. After a short while, the image of an open window faded into view and i just sat there staring at curtains slightly waving as a breeze of wind enters the room via the window.
It was only after a being mesmerized by the view for a while that i noticed a bit of light grey text asking me to press the "Start button". Ow... *rasping throat* Right. Good idea! *Press*

As the prologue made me sit at the tip of my seat, feeling uneasy to open doors or look outside of the windows and even made me run in fear for my life... In the end it even brought me to the verge of tears.
At that time i thought... "By the Twelve... When did games get THIS good?!?" (And it was just the prologue for crying out loud...)
If you didn't get the hint... I implore you to pick up the game and try it yourself!
Instead of playing campaign this morning. I gave the Mp a shot. It's actually pretty fun. I still can't decider if i'm surprised or not haha.

Im seeing a lot of threads popping up on BETA forums about WAR becoming "more tanky, less DD" in 2.0 due to stance requirements to perform skills. What are your guys thoughts on this?
Im curious because im probably going to be playing WAR, but was going to be doing so with the mindset of off-tank DD

So very true. That prologue even made a tear roll out of the corner of my eye. I guess there's something different in an interactive storytelling where we(the player) are controlling all these characters. What added to it was the fact that I kept wondering how this prologue was going to play out. I kept wondering if either of the two intro characters were characters of the game itself or if I was already playing as the pair from the start. That sense of confusion caused me to not even be able to predict with 100% certainty what the outcome was going to be of the prologue.I got my copy of The Last of Us today and since we still have till Friday before the beta servers open up again, i figured "now a good time as any to give it a go". (I left things very vague in my post to avoid any spoilers. Those that played it will understand)
