This is just as bad when my server merged in XI and I cried like a baby when my name was taken.

Doesn't the World Transfer only apply for the Legacy servers at the moment? If i look at the server list mentioned in the Data Center post on Lodestone, only the 1.0 servers are mentioned and the Data Center they will belong to once the 4th Beta Phase commences.

From what i remember from previous Letters of the Producer, Yoshi-p said that the current 1.0 characters will remain on the Legacy servers for a certain period of time. Just so that the new players could settle in on the new servers at launch. After a while, the People on the Legacy servers would be given the opportunity to transfer to another server (for instance one of the newer servers).

The way i see it, you can stick to your current server until SE presents you with the opportunity to switch servers after the game has officially been released.

Can't tell. I rarely met EU peeps. Some from Spain and someone from Scandinavia.
I heard that maybe they'll add servers later on, maybe there'll be another EU based one for 1.0 peeps.
Btw, I secretly hope there won't be only german speaking players on Ragnarok. Like to speak English sometimes for practice (since I graduated it went down a lot >.<)

Hi there, actually Ragnarok was the lowest populated server but, there weren't any issue to make parties for events and other stuff. Also people was from everywhere, of course lots of EU folks, but also from Japan, USA, I myself from spain and many more places.
