I swear he is part Colibri. If you put him on the table with food, he gets more interested in what you're eating instead of what's put out for him, and he will walk over to your plate and find something to start picking off of.

Well... Mine would try to snatch if from your hands, or even straight out of your mouth (if you're not careful). (^_^; )

I'm a dog person too. Though having pets at all are a bit of a hassle when your family is allergic...

My dad is allergic to cats/rabbits. (And to some dogs)

I've had plenty of dogs but few cats because of that.

I also have a Quaker Parrot. He must be part Chocobo because when I whistle the Chocobo theme to him he starts dancing all around his cage and whistles along with me. It's the only song I whistle to him that gets that kind of reaction.

I personally love to own a Labrador/Golden Retriever or a Swiss Shepard someday.
