I'm considering getting one of those controllers or just a new Dualshock 3. Can't decide which.

I love Logitech hardware but for some reason every controller I got from them broke within a month. It just stopped working completely. That was on my old PC so maybe my USB ports were destroying them somehow? Is that even possible? I use the 360 controller on PC now and never have any issues.

I feel the same way. I refuse to buy anymore controllers from them after going through 5 of them within a few months of using them. They didn't even last a year and a half... I just use the ps3 controller and has worked like a charmed for me. Been using it for every game I play without any issues. Its just worth it to pay a little extra for a good quality controller, let it be xbox 360, playstation 3, or whatever other good controllers are out there.

got a wired xbox 360 one myself for my computer since i hear its the best one for "destructive" controller users >.>
So far just used it with skyrim and emulators and its the best i have tried so far on either.

EU players are usually better at PvE and more into it then US players. For example all the world first heroic PvE boss kills in WoW almost always go to European guilds. Might be do to the fact there is a lot easier ways to not work get goverment handouts so you can play the game almost all day. But if they ever become good at PvE in a game like WoW they just make their living off of sponsors, mostly tech companies. Then it becomes their job to get world first kills.

However when it comes to PvP thats when US players dominate.

Couldn't they just apply a whole new formula to PvP calculations so it would have zero bearing on PvE? I'm sure if they're smart about it, they could figure a way to divide both aspects (PvE and PvP) so they operate in isolation from eachother.

Yes and no. Eq2 has that but even then they have had to alter some pve mechanics to make it actually work. Server code can have little quirks on overlap from when to or not use pve/pvp skills. Takes a pile of extra code to run down every exception and simply easier to roll back pve side and call it a feature. *shrug*

Don't mean for it to sound like I dislike pvp. I just wish it worked as advertised. Seems to work best in a battlegrounds type area where you keep pve elements out of the way as much as possible. Once it goes open world is when the players find the loopholes that cause dev panic. lol
