the PVP it's a MUST!

Not really no cause FFXI did great w/o to start with...but yes it was added later only to faded almost away...so Pvp is not a must for MMO'S, other wise every MMO, even Hello Kitty online (why the hell did i say that one? >.>) would have pvp...

Yeah XI did well cuz 11 years MMOs where for niche players only...

You forgot that ARR it's supposed to compete vs the modern MMOs (Yoshida said this many time) ,

and guess what? Every modern (and not..) MMOs have PvP ...

Another thing, i don't care about PvP (i'm mostly a PVE player) but i care for the game success :/

I agree that PvP in some form (even minimally present) will be necessary to compete with the rest of the MMO community, but really it's not necessary as a Final Fantasy. Competitive multiplayer wasn't included until FF Tactics Advance, later to be present in Tactics: WotL, Dissidia, and maybe a couple of others, all of which were made after the merger of Square and Enix (Tactics Advance might have been just before, because it was released that same year.)

PvP (or a lack thereof) may affect the purchasing choices of a lot of MMO fans, but personally I think the Final Fantasy name and strong Final Fantasy themes will draw in the game's more lasting fans: fans of the series. FF Fans will likely overlook a delayed release of PvP.
