Probably should look into that lol, I have actually gotten into the habit of just waking up a couple minutes before my mom and bringing him downstairs to sleep with me, cause one night my mom didn't come home so he spent like 6 hours upstairs alone and i gues i got so scared or something he tried coming downstairs (which he never does cause he can't for some reason, he will try to come downstairs but can't do it) and he fell down the stairs and tore his acl, after surgery and 4 months of rest hes all better now but now he wont even sit at the top of the stairs waiting for me anymore he wont go anywhere near the stairs anymore hes to scared of them lol, should probably get a gate or something <,< i never leave the house when its just me cause i dont wanna leave him alone incase he does it again for 2 reasons. 1 - i don't want him to get hurt like that again and 2 - do you know how much it costs to repair a dogs acl? its crazy ass expensive.
Aww man, you should look into crate training. It's really beneficial for dogs to have a little safe den, the crate should just be big enough for the dog to stand up, turn around and lay down in. This is handy since the crate becomes a safe 'den' area and also stops them from injuring themselves.Probably should look into that lol, I have actually gotten into the habit of just waking up a couple minutes before my mom and bringing him downstairs to sleep with me, cause one night my mom didn't come home so he spent like 6 hours upstairs alone and i gues i got so scared or something he tried coming downstairs (which he never does cause he can't for some reason, he will try to come downstairs but can't do it) and he fell down the stairs and tore his acl, after surgery and 4 months of rest hes all better now but now he wont even sit at the top of the stairs waiting for me anymore he wont go anywhere near the stairs anymore hes to scared of them lol, should probably get a gate or something <,< i never leave the house when its just me cause i dont wanna leave him alone incase he does it again for 2 reasons. 1 - i don't want him to get hurt like that again and 2 - do you know how much it costs to repair a dogs acl? its crazy ass expensive.

Thx for the advice, I do have a cage for him cause when we got him he was an abused dog from somewhere where he spent his entire life in a small cage, we still have that cage and if we just show it to him and open it up he goes into it right away without having to tell him anything. But since he spent the first 2 years of his life in there my mom spoils him now and doesnt like putting him in there, but if it will keep him safe we will have to do it i guess.Aww man, you should look into crate training. You typically only do it when no one is there to watch him at all.Thx for the advice, I do have a cage for him cause when we got him he was an abused dog from somewhere where he spent his entire life in a small cage, we still have that cage and if we just show it to him and open it up he goes into it right away without having to tell him anything. As long as you don't keep him in there like aaaaall day he'll be alright^^, like ispano said - Crate him when there's nobody to watch him and maybe at night too if you'd like him to sleep elsewhere. If you want, you can change the crate so there's no negative stigma attached to it; it's really handy for any dog. My 50lb pit cross sleeps in his crate and if I have to go out to someplace he can't follow like the grocery store, he goes in the crate with a stuffed KONG toy to keep him busy. As long as your dog has some crate only activity like a KONG, you'll find that in time he will come to get really excited for crate time. You'll get to go out, he'll get tasty treats and no more torn ACL! win/win ^^Thx for the advice, I do have a cage for him cause when we got him he was an abused dog from somewhere where he spent his entire life in a small cage, we still have that cage and if we just show it to him and open it up he goes into it right away without having to tell him anything. dogs are companions. they're social creatures and were a vital part in shaping man's transition into an agricultural society. dogs serve quite a number of important practical functions to humans.
meanwhile... outside of mousers, cats are mostly 'accessory' pets- as they don't serve any practical purpose. cats are tens of thousands of years behind dogs in domestication, and it really shows.
your preference is your preference, and i'm not at all surprised that people who spend a lot of time playing MMOs might prefer cats- but the "dogs are stupid and smelly" angle is just so played out.
p.s. no matter how clean you think it is- most people who don't own cats can smell your cat when they walk into your house. juuuuuuust saying.![]()
