That is by far one of the best cosplay photographs I've ever seen. I love the colours! Very rich and balanced and the modelling/composition is beautiful!!

I love a good costume, but I've gotten very picky because I've seen so many people with basically just a bed sheet and a belt going around saying they're a Jedi or some such nonsense

Love the white mage costume (it helps WHM is my main job of course )


As for me, no pictures of myself. I always look like an idiot on pictures and actively try to get out of the way of cameras, but I do have a couple of not-so-good pictures of my 'costume' .. Didn't make it myself, I haven't got the skill for it, so I had a Japanese company make it for me






It's made to my specifications by the company that also did most/all the armours for Akira Kurosawa's Ran, and I also have a matching set of katana and wakizashi, as well as a traditional bow (although mine's made of fiberglass considering I practice kyudo )

It's just reality. I used to post lots of self portraits on line because I actually LIKE how I look, but if someone thinks you "shouldn't look that way" they'll post something to that effect.

For Hispanic culture day, I dressed in a bright yellow gown with a big ol' sunflower like BAM on the side of my hair, which is naturally poofy and super curly dark brown, and bright yellow penciline right over my eyelashes. It just popped because I'm really dark skinned in the summer. I looked awesome! So I posted the picture.

But then people online were acting really stupid about it and making unkind comments about every thing possible.

But yeah, that's what what I look like, if you can picture it. XD Cuz you ain't getting no picture.

Disregarding the personal looks part I do agree it is just reality. The operative word is personal and is what seems to fuel all disputes.

Most of us were already aware of the risks, both personal and forum wise. Prior to posting. It's cool. We've all been on these forums quite a bit now though, and in circumstances less than ideal, given the history of the game and its impending rebirth.

Even if the thread gets locked, I don't begrudge the sense of familiarity that has grown within our community now. I think it's rather healthy.

Yup, the thread turned out okay, originally posted it because I thought they were posting pictures of the developers which made me go "Oh god what are you doing", more of a "cosplay" thread now, some of these are amazing!
