βeta tomorrow?! [ 明日? !] One more day?????

Actually one of the media people leaked that the press is under moratorium to not release any info until the world release date. Now they haven't actually said specifically, but apparently they are returning to Japan on the 21st and Yoshi said specifically that the live letter for the world release would be the next day, on the 22nd. So that is the date they will release Beta Phase One start date.

Now that does not mean Yoshi can't put out another letter tomorrow saying that we should be patient. Nor does it prevent the release of the Benchmark or the key code letters for Beta Players before that date.

But that's only 8 days. I can hold on for 8 days... I think.

Well, What I posted on there clearly states him telling us ( Japanese/Americans/French/German alike through a Letter not live or he would have said " We are planning to Announce the Beta start date in the Live Letter of the Producer V" When they just say "Letter" it's always a Regular letter. Live Letter is a Special Occasion thing. I'm not about to re-copy everything to formulate what I want to say again :P.

Will see tomorrow they just announced that they are releasing a letter on the JST evening of the 15th ( which is roughly 12 hours away). All will be anwsered there, I was just giving my input on how I feel it's interpreted.

Well what he could have been doing is sending out Beta registration info so that when the day comes people won't get locked out due to "too many" downloads which would save people time and SE alot of bitchin on the forums Im just sayin

Well, letters usually come in-between 3-6am EST, 12-3am PST. It's hard to give Exact times but if you live in the USA, any of those times your shop should be closed at that time of night :P. hehe

D: last time I stayed up all night on presumptions for XIV tidbits it didn't release till way later after I zzz and I woke up late and super tired and -everyone- already knew what I waited up for all night and missed. It's a cruel cycle sweets, let it be the positive step that puts you in a happy day mode tomorrow

I speculated what the OP quoted earlier, just never said anything. Just because he's doing another live letter on the 22nd and discussing beta doesn't mean that's when Beta starts. It could be Monday, it could be the Monday after the live letter.


I have no idea what was said after the first post of this topic for it to get to this, or what this means, but I did "lol" at seeing this after I posted because it's, in my mind, random.. lol

Lady was giving an example about when you drive you don't really look at nature, and I just put my two cents in a said " well I can do it!" XD

And The Regular letter that's coming while he's in the US ( tomorrow I hope) that letter will have the beta info and here are some quotes to confirm this:

The new information coming out through this media tour will be released simultaneously world wide, it's not going to be little by little by in big chunk so please wait just a bit more.

We arrived San Francisco, but this morning I overslept, this only happens maybe once a year or never. I scared the daylights out of the staff...... Glad we made it on boarding time ^^;
Right now I'm preparing the letter at the hotel, should be able to get this out in next few days.
Also got lots of stuff going on at the same time, checking the Beta manual, checking the announcements, talking with the devs, logging in to Beta and making checks. It doesn't feel like I'm at overseas (laugh)
Tomorrow we'll finally start rehearsal at the stage, once that's over we just head over to the medias with super hard schedule. I'm sure Lady M and Moldbol will keep you guys in the loop on that part!

As mentioned by YoshiP himself in the last producer letter, at the next letter we are planning to announce the start schedule for Phase 1.
For something like this which involves reporting the schedule of the project needs to be translated and announced globally simultaneously. Therefore we can't just mention it on the forums alone. Hope you can understand.
Also this thread is mainly for the back stage info of the media tour so please keep that in mind as well! Thanks!

On the flip side of an estimation, I did say Feb 18th most likely is the absolute latest, due in fact SE almost indirectly stated exactly when Beta should start. You cannot exactly announce winners of a prize youre incapable of delivering.

Also it truly makes a lot of sense that after his next Letter from the Producer, (when he said he'll announce beta info) that when he does the Liver Letter from the Producer that it will in fact include the beta, and the testers just as was with the alpha test.

Any time after Feb 18th, is not only further off original "mid Feb" statement (especially after the 20th) but also is not in harmony with the previously quoted sites and posts by SE themselves.

(also, people enjoy the game, like talking about it, and are glad its so close to get yet another taste of the game, which leads right into the actual release, so no need for "hating" on the threads about the release, its pointless.)
