Will I get invited to beta?

I'm actually trying to check if I have legacy. I bought the original game Sept 2010, and I never deleted my character even though I login on and off periodically, and as of July 2012 I was logging on still. So I think I have Legacy, but when I saw the application for beta testers, I applied anyway since I didn't know legacy would get instant access.

Do what ispano said and see if you have Legacy if you see a legacy icon.

Select services ---> Final Fantasy XIV

and if you see

then you have Legacy

Hycinthus, there used to be two ways you could check to see if you have Legacy status (now there's only one) - the main way (and now, the only way), is to log into your SE Account and click on "Select Service' and then choose FFXIV.

On the next screen if you have Legacy status it will show a small Legacy icon beside your FFXIV account (clicking on your FFXIV account options will also show 'FFXIV Legacy' listed under 'Permanent Options' on your FFXIV account as well).

The second way was if you had Legacy status the Legacy icon would also be shown on the character selection screen in FFXIV 1.0, but naturally that's no longer available.

im gonna be real disapointed if 1st phase beta is restricted to a few hours a day and a few days a week.

It will most likely be 3 days a week for 2 weeks and probably be 8 hours each time. After sometime ( 2 weeks I figure or less depending on how things go off the bat.) it will go 24hrs. It's only at first, it's not a forever deal.

Then be disappointed then because phase 1 only few hours

I guess I don't have the be the bearer of bad news for him, You beat me to it ! But ya what starlord said, it won't be 24/7 at first.
