Anyone going to Distant Worlds in a couple days? :)

Doubt there'll be any new XIV music. Distant Worlds was primarily Uematsu's music..but recently with the "Celebration" they were able to collaborate with Naoshi Mizuta, Kumi Tanioka, and the composer for FF12 to create new scores.

Unless Arnie Roth recently worked with Soken, I don't think there'll be any scores untl perhaps later in the year (if they do pick them up)

They already have 1.0's Limsa, Thanalan, Ifrit, and of course, Answers scored. So maybe they'll play something from one of those.

I wish I could go to the concerts though... I love hearing Susan sing live. Too bad they haven't scheduled any shows near my area though ><

Hitoshi Sakimoto. You also missed out Masashi Hamauzu (FFXIII) as well, but I can forgive you for that (I never really liked that much of XIII's OST).

But yeah, as Uematsu is the primary force behind Distant Worlds, I doubt you'll be hearing any of Soken's work (especially any teasers for his ARR work) in those concerts - but it would be awesome if they're included though. In any event, I'm holding out hope that DW will be coming back to Australia soon, as I missed the opportunity to attend the previous Aussie concerts due to family commitments sadly.

I've never been to a Distant Worlds concert, so I don't know if they play the full repertoire each time, or if it's a subset of the master list.

As for new new works for XIV... it doesn't look like they're playing anything from 2.0.
