I sort of wish players could only choose one job.

I'm glad I can do all the jobs on one character. Makes it so i don't have to go through a lot of the same crap over and over again on a different character just to play another job. And that's what makes this game awesome, versatility. And with the option of crossing over certain abilities which is way handy and the fact that many ff are set up to be anything you want to be. FF3, FF5, FF7, FF8, FF10, FFX-2, FFXI, and FFXII (Haven't played XIII). The ability to be multiple "Jobs" or "Areas of focus" isn't something new to FF. I really don't like in many MMO's that make me stick to one particular class, I get bored with that fast.
