What people? There has been no publicity up to this point (beyond a few trailers on Hulu) for exactly that reason. The only people who even know that there is a schedule are those closely following the game; and they're much more likely to be the ones to know that Yoshi-P has repeatedly brought up their "It's done when it's ready" philosophy.

Further, in colloquial engilsh, "middle of the month" is often read as anywhere between the 13th and the 20th and 11th to the 22nd, depending on how harshly you judge "middle". So technically speaking, the beta hasn't even been delayed yet, making this somewhat of a moot point.

First off, there isn't any date. A delay can happens on the roadmap, but the game release date is actually TBA so there's nothing to hurt.
Also no, i don't believe numbers of game delay it's something to let reviews say "the game have graphic and gameplay like no one never seen, but it got delayed 3 times. Sorry, that's a 5 for that".

Well, I'll just say this. If you want to panic over something this trivial, go ahead. I'm not going to stop you. I'm in no rush to see them put the game out. An unfinished game being pushed out due to rabid fans insisting the game be out on a certain date, will do more damage to getting people to play, than a game coming out a few weeks/months later. (as we saw with 1.0)

People who rush games to be released right away (and in a hurry) are more often than not the same ones who are quick to tell everyone else how awful said game was when it came out on a date to their liking. You can't have it both ways. Patience on our part means the devs can focus on actually making it worth playing instead of trying to push a product.

I'd like beta 1 to start soon but last quite a while if necessary (even though it is capped and area restricted) so that we can give feedback. Not acting on feedback from the beta is what destroyed FFXIV in many people's opinion (though it probably wasn't even possible to fix the game which is why we have ARR).

While I understand them wanting to have a solid version for us to test. I'm not so impatient that I can't understand delays. But I do think most legacy members can tolerate and understand a game that is in an unfinished state. We proved that when we subscribed to one. Besides there is an NDA for this reason. I just hope if it is delayed that this is not going to cause them to shorten it to speed up the process of the launch.

I do want to play FFXIV very badly again (with my character, and the content I am most excited for), but I also want them to give themselves enough time to make major changes based on experiences from the beta. By the time the NDA is lifted for Beta 3 they need to have the game ready with very little issues so they don't get hammered by the public.

同時にβマニュアルや公開範囲告知のチェック、開発とのやりとり、遠隔からのβログインでのチェックなど、
なかなかにアレです、海外にいる雰囲気ゼロです（苦笑
明日はいよいよ会場でのリハーサル、それが終わればもうメディア対応と移動のみという、
超過密スケジュールに突入します。その様子はM女史やモルボルがレポートしてくれると思います！

We arrived San Francisco, but this morning I overslept, this only happens maybe once a year or never. I scared the daylights out of the staff...... Glad we made it on boarding time ^^;
Right now I'm preparing the letter at the hotel, should be able to get this out in next few days.
Also got lots of stuff going on at the same time, checking the Beta manual, checking the announcements, talking with the devs, logging in to Beta and making checks. It doesn't feel like I'm at overseas (laugh)
Tomorrow we'll finally start rehearsal at the stage, once that's over we just head over to the medias with super hard schedule. I'm sure Lady M and Moldbol will keep you guys in the loop on that part!

-Tour should end around Feb 15th.

The next Live Letter from the Producer will be Feb. 22.
**This would most likely include Yoshida in the Beta test with testers
-Should be live at least one week after beta has started, ample time for people to have the email, the client downloaded and characters made, and be underway. Feb. 15th (one week before.)
