Okay, I'm going to try to put a stop to this thread because Hippo got his answer and this is turning into a completely different topic.

Who here thinks they can solo clear dzemeal darkhold? What about with a party of only 1 job? What about a party with 1 job clearing "A Raven Nevermore"? Hamlet? Behest? Nearly impossible, right? Final Fantasy, at it's heart, has always been a game about people with different backgrounds, different approaches, different opinions, coming together to do something greater than any one of them are able to. It's about accepting the differences and strengths of each other to cover for the weakness of other's. Everyone has their own opinions, own approaches, own reasons to do what they do. The important thing is we all work together to move forward and make a better world.

The derplander's party is showing exactly that. Two different parties, from two different time frames, for that matter, all coming from different places to try to work together. That IS final fantasy. Just as there are people with different approaches to playing, people have different approaches to what they play on. Some choose DD, other's tanking, healing, support, magic, etc. I personally can't stand tanking. I feel that it's better to kill the attacker than it is to shield someone with my body. But I can't deny that it's not only a good strategy sometimes, it's REQUIRED a most of the time. What would it be like if I started shouting that everyone in my party MUST be drg? And some people not only prefer not to play drg, they can't or can't play it well. Some people are better healers or tankers or supporters. It's just the way it is.

We all have our own circumstances and our approach. Just like with our choice of computers. Some people like macs. So what? If they're able to do the same things you do on a mac that you do on a PC, what difference does it make? Or linux to mac or pc to linux. We all use what we're comfortable with. We all chose our choices. The important thing is we all work together for a common goal.

And, the truth is, if you don't agree that we should put aside our differences for something better, the core essence of Final Fantasy, you might want to reconsider the game you're playing.
