1) Started during 1.0 Alpha, played up til launch and a few months after. Took frequent breaks until party content was added because I HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE solo. Played then until 1.0 close on Nov 11th.

2) Anytime is good for me as long as it's not early morning CST.

I came in the game in August 2011 right after 1.18 was implemented and played ever since.

Hi everyone,

To build hype for the upcoming phase 1 beta and ARR launch, I'm currently writing a rather large feature article on the history and experience of playing FFXIV, but I need your help! Sadly, I do not have direct experience with all versions of FFXIV since I only started playing in early 2012, but have come to love the game all the same. I'm looking for people who with various levels of experience with the game, from "I'm an OG who started in 1.0 beta" all the way to "I just applied for ARR beta and haven't really played 1.0 at all". All are welcome; I'm looking for a wide breadth to try to represent as many perspectives on the ARR launch as possible.

Interviews will happen over Skype or IM, at your preference and will last around 15-30 minutes. If you're interested in getting interviewed, add me as a contact on Skype (axemtitanium) or send me a Twitter direct message (@axemtitanium) with the following information:

1) when you started playing FFXIV and when you stopped (if applicable)

2) some rough times when you'd be available for your interview within the next week

Depending on how many requests I get, I may not be able to interview everyone who is interested, but I will try my best to get everyone. I also may not be able to incorporate everyone's interview into the final feature, again depending on the number of interviews. I'll post a link when it's published.
