    I'd much rather them expand (a lot) on the idea of the path companion like I described long ago in this thread.

    It'd be more original, functional, and would probably be liked more by those that consider pets "childish".

    As for pets, i'd much rather have them as Jayvir described, as animated "furniture" for player housing.
