Simply question about "Beta phase 1"

they will probably have jobs accessible but only quests for the gridanian themed ones >.> like Lancer Conjurer and Archer but they will sell weapons for other classes and such~

I was thinking it might depend on which classes need to be unlocked by the usual trip to the Guild H.Q. So it might just be Gridanian classes. Unless they have way of unlocking classes without that for the convenience of testing.

I think it will be same classes as alpha, phase 1-2. Otherwise you can't do class quests, since they are tied to guild?
I don't know if it's really any issue that you couldn't do PUG quests though for example; but it would be a little odd.

Um.... yeah, I was an alpha tester also and that has nothing to do with it so why do you say it like only alpha testers know what jobs are located in grid and have been located in grid since 2010.... Alpha testers were just stress testers they don't know anymore than the average player, I don't know why Alpha testers act like they have some super secret piece of information when NO you don't all the information about Alpha has been released in video by SE so please stop with that... The NDA has nothing I MEAN NOTHING to do with the jobs grid has had in the past and is obvious in every alpha video... Grid has LNC, ARC, CON, LTW, CRP, BOT... This is common knowledge and nothing to do with alpha testers or a NDA... Common sense and the thread goes on wondering about something that was answered for them almost 3 years ago then re answered when they announced what jobs were playable at Alpha launch... SMH.

FYI....Just so we don't have to have a long discussion about Arcanist the guild is in Limsa....

This thread isn't just about the classes that are in Gridania, but more-so the inclusion of the classes that aren't based in Gridania for Phase 1 of beta.

I'm sure the Alpha testers would be more than happy to elaborate on the reasoning, if they knew without a shadow of a doubt that it wouldn't violate the NDA and cause them to get banned. They are just being cautious so you have no right to trash them.

Trying to answer some of these questions while not violating the NDA is like dancing on dental floss strung between two skyscrapers.

Update: While normally you would only be able to play as the classes available in Gridania, please note that as a special exception during Beta Test phase 1 & 2, players will be able to complete specific objectives to unlock the gladiator class. (Updated Feb 9, 10:20am PST)

Will this apply to Phase 2 as well? There's no mention of Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa in the PDF's for that phase.
