A tool yes, but not like a dictionary. A dictionary is a tool of learning and a spell checker is a tool of efficiency. you must have also missed my intentional miss use of no with "know" might want to fix that too, if it bothers you so.It is a simple matter of self respect and for that matter respect for others. As for saying 'the internet is an informal medium' that is so broad and baseless a comment it is simply meaningless. Not to mention completely irrelevant.
And by the way a spellchecker is simply a tool, much like a dictionary.
