Actually I like the more conservative estimate of Feb. 21st. It's still sort of mid-February. There's no telling if Yoshi-P meant "exactly in the middle of February". If we expect the 21st, then we allow ourselves more time before the bitching starts.

You should all know SE by now...

CG trailer making their game look cools, with only 5 seconds or so of ACTUAL gameplay. Most of the real info will probably be from second-hand source (i.e, leaks, NDA breaches, etc.). So just saddle down and wait for someone(or yourself) to review the game on release.

Problem is if they release that type of info although the NA community might just take it lightly with grain of salt, JP community on the other hand could go all out on it if SE doesn't finish the way they said they would even if it's 'still in the works' status. I don't think SE wants to get into that hell hole just yet. They really need to be careful on what information to release at what timing to get this working.

since november till now SE has released either videos or letters from the producer at a steady rate, not to mention the constant posts from the site's moderators.
people also seem to forget that ARR is being released with the intent to bring in new players, and as such when it launches it will allow sufficient time for newer players to catch up to the veterans. So the content will come in steadily after the ARR release so that there are enough level appropriate players to participate in said content, such as pvp and end game raids.
