Yes o_o Who are you
I don't know how you can get "hire" from hyur..it sounds really unnatural even for English only speaking folk. You're right on Paladin though. It's "Pal-Ah-din".i always thought "Hyur" would be "Hire".
Elezen: El Eh Zen
Lalafell: should be pretty obvious.
Miqo'te: Meh Koh Te
Roegadyn: Roh Gah Din
another one that really bothers me is Paladin. Seems like another obvious one...
I've always said "Pal Uh Din" and have always heard this this way. When i hear people say "Puh Lad In" it just sounds stupid.

Hyur - (He-yoor, or Hyoor)
Elezen - (Eh-La-Zin)
Lalafell - (La-La-Fell)
Miqo'te - (Mi-Ko-tay)
Roegadyn - (Row-Gah-Din)
Gysahl Greens - (Gi-shal- Greens)
Coeurl (Ko-url, or Ko- u(spanish "rr")-il)
Moogle (Moo-gull)
Thaumaturge - (Tho-ma-turj)
Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn- (Murl-web) (Blow-fish-win)
Ifrit (If-er-eet)
Louisoux- (Lou -E- So) (Yes I know its " Lou-E-So-Wa, but I've pronounced it the first way for the longest time...)
Byregot- (Beer-reh-got) or (Bye-reh-got)
Y'shtola- (Ish-to-la)
Kallera Etoile - (Ka-laer-ah) (Eh-to-ahl)
Probably from thinking they are two syllables.
Hy(hi as in Hyrule)-Ur (Er) = "hire".

Hy = High
Ur = Er
maybe "Hyur = Higher" would have been a better example instead of "Hire". just how it seems to me.
Hee-yer and H-yur (soft H) along with some others just sound too silly and unnecessary.
edit: maybe High - Yer, idk.
