how many try for those?Ok, I said I wasn't going to, but some people also did alternate characters and such, so I'll throw in just a couple more because I love this thread (though I've done many more than this):
Top one is a RL friend's character that never visits the forums so I figured it'd be ok to post (Sarjenka Drema, for those who have trouble reading Eorzean, which is most people). Went for a slim, elaborate style I thought would befit an elezen.
Bottom one is my rarely used miqo'te alt, Kalyke Harpalyke.

Hahaha I had to re-do a second time and it's still messy.
I guess it's just hard when you are unfamiliar with the strokes
My first attempt was with mspaint... and this was the horrid outcome
So I got a couple of my kids markers and did my second attempt on the back of a piece of old mail >.>;

Hmmm.... hard to remember because I did them a while before this thread ever existed, but probably only a couple. And it wouldn't be the whole name either. It was in Illustrator so if I messed up just 1 letter I could Ctrl+Z without starting completely over.
Unless you want to count all the other writing I've done to practice Eorzean characters in general.... then it's a lot. Creating the font really got me a lot of familiarity with writing them...
Love the flourishes!
