To add on, you can macro ALL of the keys for merc.

I use a cheap dell because it works fine.

Logitec G19. cuz its bad azz

When I'm not using a control pad I use a Logitech G500 mouse and G19 keyboard. both are pretty strong.
The mouse has 5 or 6 extra buttons you can program to do whatever you want. From basic scripts to simple key sequences. For example you could macro a mouse button to target your parties tank and cast regen on him with a single button press. Or you could have a single mouse button that does your monks full howling fist combo.
The keyboard is quite a bit more sophisticated. You can do all of that with the 12 g keys and even have the keyboard simulate the mouse pointer if you desire. I've never really got that much into it myself though. My g keys throughout 1.0 were pretty much job swaps. Press g1 I become a paladin and put on all my gear. Press g2 I become a monk etc.
Not to mention simple things like having ts3 vent or mumble info on the g19 keyboard display I find quite usefull and certainly a far nicer option than overlays.
I know a friend had a macro that would jump his mouse down and call his chocobo from the micro menu just by pressing one of the gkeys so yeah you can really do quite a lot.
What i use in ARR will depends on the system. if the kb/m is like alpha i will most likely not use it. it wasn't terrible just simple things like w,a,s,d were totally screwed up. so hoping they either fix that or implement a decent game pad system or maybe both![]()

Speaking of macros, the most simple but awesome one I made for 1.0 was to program the thumb button on my mouse to be the enter key. It made all kinds of actions using the mouse much simpler.

I have a G110 but I haven't fully utilized it with any game I've played yet. Maybe I'll actually set it up with ARR.
360 controller because i need to sit back in my chair and relax while I play.
MLG pro circuit controller

and if you want to see the swapping in action

It is modular so I can swap the d-pad and joysticks for a 360 setup or ps3 setup. Normal 360 controllers have crappy dpads.

Been using a $5 keyboard for the last six years or so. Still works like a charm.
