That's not to say in the 1.0 alpha that there weren't people just there to play a shiny new MMO, because there were. I'm sure half of the people that applied and got into the 1.0 alpha were there to see if they wanted to buy it and maybe half of those never did, not because they wanted to make FFXIV a great MMO, but that's what happens when a new MMO goes into testing.

With all the bad press and word of mouth 1.0 received, added to the majority of testers being Legacy players, there will be a lot less of the "Ooohhhh shiny!" players testing than there are in other MMO betas. Sure, there will still be some, but I think your opinion on how helpful the members of this forum will be in the fine-tuning of ARR is clouded by their bored antics.

And as Kira already stated, a lot of our alpha/beta feedback was overlooked so they could release early.
