Thank you all for suggestions! Going to check em out.I played all of XIV and for several years on XI using a normal PS2 controller and a simple USB adapter. NO need to worry about drivers or dead controllers mid fight and i never had any problems with the shoulder buttons like i know many xbox gamepad users did.
PS2 USB adapters cost under £5 and are readily available. I assume they would be similarly cheap and easy to purchase wherever you are from.

Another thought: I uses official Dual Shock 3 controller for PS3 with "motionjoy" driver on my Win7 x64 since day 1 of ver 1.0 without any problem. Since the last series of Playstation 2 was discontinued at Jan 2013, maybe its hard to find new DS2 for the USB adaptor. So go DS3 directory.
The official DS3 has Bluetooth / mini USB interface, but the driver works on USB much better.
