ffxiv:arr without auto attack , is it possible ?

I think it has a lot to do with the system and how I'm posed when using that system. I'm okay being required to mash to make progress (sometimes) if I'm half-laying down and have a controller, but obligatory "rapid-same-button-press or fail" mechanics (as opposed to well timed and combined mechanics) are obnoxious when I'm sitting down at the PC with a keyboard and mouse. "Action" becomes "Man, this is tiring."

How long do you think you could keep up the mash in a fight that takes you a lot of tries to learn? You should never be so tired of playing that you have to switch hands.
