If so they could be starting the client download - It may take quite a while for all legacy players to get their email hours to maybe a few days, specially if they stagger it for fast downloads.

edit: Had no idea what "that email" was until some people later on showed that it was the "sign up for beta email"

You mean the sign up for the beta email? That was a standard beta sign up news letter email. It was just a email sent to everyone who has a account or to people who are subscribed to their news letter.

It was a newsfeed but it sent me to where you do sign up (And I did) I hope that doesn't cause any issues?

You don't need to sign up if you're a legacy member. The beta signup page states this, and it has been stated on this forum multiple times. It doesn't hurt your ability to get into the beta, but you don't need to do it unless you are wanting to test the ps3 version.

It's not tied to the beta test -_- it's a public announcement/newsletter reminding those that haven't applied to do so. It's not targeted at specific people (played XIV or not, Legacy or not etc)

THis thread is the result of overanalyzing >.> not trying to be negative either. Just a quick glance at the email it was sent from (ffxiv-newsletter@square-enix.com) should say its a general announcement and isn't tied specifically to the information we're all waiting for :x
