Hello everyone!
So to help some of you pass the time I decided to make this thread to stir up so of our creative game design types. The Idea here is to design and detail a complex boss battle. The Boss battle can be based on anything from XIV lore including each of the primals, Siren, Bahamut, and whatever else you can think of. Hell's bells, if you wanted to design a crazy fight where we all beat up The Twelve that sounds super cool too.
I will be filling this thread with some of my own carefully considered creations as well. I am going to attempt to once a week post my spin on a primal battle (including redesigned versions of Garuda and Ifrit). I intend to do all six primals as eight man fights, and 2 -3 twenty-four player fights (including Bahamut but he will be last). I will be providing detailed descriptions of all mechanics, basic images of what the battlefield would look like, and finally a strategy description to help people understand how the encounter is meant to be encountered. All of my battles will include a normal mode, tuned to be about the same difficulty as 1.0's Garuda, and a hard mode which is designed to be an extremely challenging version of the same fight (I like making things challenging)
