In FFXIV you could both rent chocobos and eventually through the Grand Company quests, you could obtain and name your own personal chocobo. The rentals were a little slower in speed though, and had a timer on them. You can summon your personal (grand company) chocobo whenever, and for however long you wanted.

You can own more than one, we had the GC Chocobo and a Goobbue mount that was only available to obtain for a limited time. So the Legacy Chocobo would give some of us 3 mounts.
It is possibel for PS3 versions of games to support mods (example, unreal tournament 3) made on the PC, but it's likely that the memory available for their use on the PS3 would be very limited if the support is available.

(For UT3, all you had to do was "cook" your mod for the PS3, put it on a USB thumb drive or a memory stick, and install it from within the game)

SE said they may port over mods that are so great they and useful that you cant play as well without them. I'll be interested to know if they are porting over distance meters, atlas addons, and boss helpers. For a dev to automatically create a boss warning addon seems a bit unlikely and just weird lol. Maybe their addon system wont be able to read chat and therefore can't warn players.
