@lucke.. Is teamspeak an in game function in ffxiv? Is that what you guys are saying ps3 players wont have? Hmm had no idea it had a way to voicechat with players right inside the game..

If so i do have my Mac in my room (same room as pS3) & i also have an ipadmini i had no idea i could use ventrilio on my ipad mini thats awesome if im wrong please correct me.. Or is there another form of using the ffxiv in game voice chat (assuming there is one) from my ipad.

I plan on buying the ps3 copy as well.. Im guessingni enter that validcode in my Legacy account giving it access to both systems.

Teamspeak/Ventrilo are 3rd party programs. You run them on your PC which allows you to chat with your friends. Not sure how it works on Teamspeak, but for Vent, your LS rents a server which you guys sign on to when you load up Vent. Everyone on your Vent server can voice chat with each other. In 1.0, you would have Vent running in the background while you did whatever in game.

If you want to play on your PS3, you can install it on your laptop, hook up a mic/headset and you are good to go. I think as far as iPad apps and such, I heard something about Vent/Teamspeak on your phone, but I haven't followed up on that. Another thing to look into would be Skype. You can use that instead of Vent/Teamspeak as well. It just depends on what your LS wants to do.
