It could also be possible to set various threshholds for different transactions. i.e. Maybe 500k for player to player trading to be flagged. But if someone pays 50k for a single water shard then flag it. A system like that would help against RMT a lot.

I've seen another game track the values of its items in both trade sales and through its version of an official market. The game is then able to recommend the current approximate price of the item to players. It's a very useful service that makes both buying and selling much easier. That sort of system could also help with something like this, flagging drastically uneven trades.

Yes, there will be people wanting to give expensive gifts or moving things to their mules or other things like that, but it would still be good to generally flag that sort of thing for investigation. If it's something innocent, it will likely look decidedly different from RMT in any investigation.
