Maybe they're trying to limit illegal activity or something, I don't know, but when you're preventing your customers from engaging in perfectly legitimate uses of the internet, you're doing something wrong.

I've lived in 4 different countries over the past 6 years and had internet every time, not once have I heard of ISP's with caps UNLESS you are using your mobile phone provider (for example when people use 3g dongles that contain a sim card).

Comcast has a 250gb cap however they aren't currently enforcing the cap while they decide what to do. Because people were hitting the cap with a lot of Netflix/Youtube/Xbox Live ect. They didn't want people to feel like they couldn't use online services or whatever.

Here in Australia, almost every ISP has quite low data caps. For instance, Bigpond (it's Telstra's ISP and Telstra is one of the biggest telecommunication countries in the country) charges something like $80 for 50GB if you don't have any other service (like phones and stuff) through them. Shopping around, you can get 200gb for $70 and stuff like that but Aussie net as a whole is still pretty pathetic... A lot of places still don't have ADSL connections, even some places here in Brisbane (a capital city) only have dial up because of our crappy telecommunications infrastructure, and I don't know anyone in Australia who can download more than 2 megabytes a second (highest I've seen is 1.6).

Eventually the National Broadband Network is supposed to remedy many of these issues but for now Aussie net is a minefield of fine print, ridiculous charges, tiny caps, customer service reps that have accents too thick to understand them without a translator, and hilarious off-peak/on-peak time systems that further restrict any normal use of the internet.

I can very much empathise with anyone wanting to cut down on the download requirements of the game. However, as others have said, it's unlikely that such concessions will be made. We're a third world country as far as most companies are concerned, and even anyone in a big bustling country like America who for any reason can't get the latest and greatest internet connection is pretty much left to their own devices. All we can do is backup any patches we can get and hope to be in a better situation in the future.

AT&T does have a cap, but they haven't enforced it yet.

AT&T have a cap and they did enforced it because 1 year ago my bill came 60$ because i was 100GB over the limit. Now that i have AT&T uverse it's the only service they have that does not enforced a cap and i hoping it never does or i going to end up going 50-100GB pass the limit every month lol

I have a chose here but ATT was horrible. Wnet back to Comcast, I had 1 issue at a former residence with Comcast, but they credited me so much money, I ended up with 4 free months.

I have a business pack so I pay little for cable, and the superior speed pays off. I need more then 5mb up loads.ATT standards and business upload speeds are horrible

In Australia, it is physically impossible to get a true "unlimited bandwidth" cable connection. The only companies that offer Cable, have plans based on a xxxGB cap, then slowed to 256Kbps (around 50-60 true KBps) after reaching the cap.

ADSL2+ with smaller companies offer Unlimited but their DL speeds aren't as superior as Cable for the most part.

Guys, I was under the impression that there would be no physical copies of the ARR game and they were doing digital distributions only.

Did SE say they were doing physical?

Why shouldn't SE not go physicals and show the game boxes in the shops to people who would be buying it after they saw the box?
