In XI, it took me NINE MONTHS to get my first 75. It really felt like quite the acomplishment. I wasn't bothered at all by how long it took me to get there, because really, the game had some content to do before hitting the level cap, and I always thought of endgame as, well, ENDgame.

It's a real shame to see all of that go. Nowadays, games start at the level cap, and leveling is just a mad rush to endgame. It has pretty much no prerequisites at all, just shoot to max level and in a matter of days, you'll be there.

Do people REALLY want all of this to be even faster and more simplistic? Really?
9 months for 75? it took me 3 years for lvl 55 on my first chara (of course that was back in the old grind days w/o books)
anyway no to double exp weekends...rested exp is ehough of a boost and if you take the lvling out of mmos and leave the end game, soon everyone will beat and get the best gear then there will be no reason to play at all...
