Prisons (Maybe we get caught by the Garleans in the storyline and have to escape?)
ex: Desert Prison (FF7)

Also escaping from Shinra's prison cells could count.
ex: D-District Prison (FF8)

was a place like that in Crystal Bearers Prison Sands which kind of looked like some concept art I think was being shown around for 2.0 a while back ~

I guess the coliseum could be considered a confirmed homage area? While the FFXIV version is original, it continues a series of coliseums in multiple ff games.

I mentioned this in my first post, but I think our personal chocobo farms can be considered an homage area to the FF7 one, since someone posted about that.
Other than that, it's implied the city-states already have Chocobo farms/stables. We just can't see or enter them (yet?).

Underneath the moogle balloon is a chocobo sign. Maybe we can enter this new building as a Chocobo stable like the FF7 version?

Haha sorry, couldn't resist and I just had to get it out of my system. I don't expect SE to put all of this in (it would be overkill) but it's pretty easy to throw together a list of possibilities. Final Fantasy just has so many memorable places! ^0^

Well, there is constant references to a 'Crystal' in some of the trailers, so who knows? Maybe a 'Great Crystal' zone could fit into ARR without too much trouble.

As for areas I'd like to see, I can't say I'd like to see any earlier zone really in ARR - I'd rather SE come up with original zone ideas than simply recycle old areas for 'fanservice's' sake. But that's just my personal opinion.

Got another one that I'd be pretty happy to see added:

A central city that is no ones home city. A watering hole to get groups, sell stuff, etc. I suppose Uldah was this in 1.0, but I just think a neutral city would be better

Plus shifty you need to be shot for suggesting thunder plains... dodge 200 lightning bolts for relic lulu weapon.. damn you relic weapons.. I got hit in the 100s a few times.. -______-;
