Homage Locations and Zones

I really want to see what zones are peoples most memorable areas / favorites locations. So post your favorites, perhaps the ones you hope SE will pay homage to ARR.

Come with pictures :P, I'll start with one I think is just mine lol ^_^/

(First hyperlink is to the wiki, second to quote, and the third inside the hidden tag is the music of the zone)

Mognet

Mognet could be a part of a greater moogle central, perhaps you can find a moogle companion quest here - I want my FFXI house buddy.. lol

Aside: not just particular to Mognet but dont forget to make quirky zones and music

Mogdens - ShinigamiKayla

Can collect stamps and paint moogles as well, Crystal Chronicles~!

Mogdens - mog houses. More moogle love, so SE give us the cute fur puffs

Sanctuary of Zi'Tah - Millerna

Zi'tah - The forest has a very mystical eery vibe being lit by crystals as the thick fog and foliage prevent a full light from above. Posted for its awesome soundtrack as well.

Chocobo Farm - Cedri

Chocobo Farm - a recurring farm in the FF7 saga. While we've seen a sort of Chocobo Farm location in ARR alpha footage I'll will call it incomplete homage as its a small chocobo raising area and it doesnt capture the FF7 Farm.

Memoria - Orophin

Memoria - is the end dungeon for FFIX, it is very unique in its design as each area has a very distinct and separate theme. The music is awesome too..

Various Locations

Great Libraries - KaMuiSouZou

There is a great library known to be in Ishgard but it is unknown (?) if we will get to go there.

Wizard Villages - KaMuiSouZou

Mage villages, an example is in FFIX (black mage village >OST<) and Mysidia >OST< in FFIV

Crystal Shrines - KaMuiSouZou

Crystal Shrines, I imagine the lodestone will get a room like this.. much into the future lol

Prisons - KaMuiSouZou

Particularly great if we can get caught in and escape out.

Sky Islands and Continents - KaMuiSouZou

And airships... :P FF6 Continent >OST< Zeal (Chrono Trigger) >OST<

Crystal tower - will be a unique dungeon in ARR with its own requirements to enter

Golden Saucer - Lady

Golden Saucer - will be in ARR at some point just as it was in FFVII, a game and entertainment zone separately from usual gameplay. What games or events we can expect or what it looks like is unknown currently.

There is a ghost house in FF7 Golden Saucer but I cant remember any other place called ghost house. And I really cant remember mario being in it.... :P lol

I've always imagined this song to be a Mage Village bgm

A Chocobo Forest with wild chocobos, possibly colored and fat ones as well. (I would consider Chocobo farms as a confirmed homage area, since we will have "personal" chocobo farms on our houses)


Opera House (FF 6)


Floating Continent (FF6) Maybe connected to the Garleans/Primals/Twelve


Ship Graveyard (FF5)


Crystal Shrines (Multiple FFs)


Perhaps the Garleans can make a huge Giant of Babil for us to attack as a dungeon(FF4)



There can be a Big Bridge (FF5) that we have to cross to get to a Garlean fortress/city/capital (w possible Gilgamesh cameo/fight)


Matoya's Cave (FF1)

I consider the Matoya's cave bgm to be one of FFs classic tracks.
NES version

The Veldt (FF6) Maybe as a skirmish type place?


Prisons (Maybe we get caught by the Garleans in the storyline and have to escape?)
ex: Desert Prison (FF7)

Also escaping from Shinra's prison cells could count.
ex: D-District Prison (FF8)


Named Mountains like Mt. Nibel (FF7) Mt. Hobs (FF4) Mt. Gagazet (FF10) Mt. Bur-Omisace (FF12)
(Not saying give us these mountains, but have content on named mountains already in Eorzea)

can't actually find a link on the FF Wikia... mog dens were places where you could go in and paint your moogle and gets stamps for minigames for crystal chronicles and they were spread across many zones o.o/ so maybe kind of like a go and collect stamp minigames for FFXIV would be cool scavenger hunting with random appearing mogdens!~ talks about them here http://cube.gamespy.com/gamecube/fin...de/page_2.html
