This would kinda force us to get all of the weapons I guess! So we have six primals and six elements - one for each.
In short, make the weapons situational and useful in exploiting elemental weaknesses - including against rival primals.
A Shiva weapon would then work wonders against Garuda, who has an ice weakness. Likewise an Ifrit weapon would show Shiva who's boss.
I upgraded mine into materia
IIRC correctly it was stated that this was misinterpreted, that primals wouldn't be literally roaming all over the world but there will be in a specific area roaming, for example, if Ifrit is in X spot in thanalan, that is where he will always be roaming. All primal would be Roaming around Eorzea because your FC/LS can have one primal under your control. He give said once you find a primal there a way for you and your team mates would be teleport into the primal instance. He said if you win the fight you have a primal under your control for a set amount of time example he give was two weeks. You also have to fill in a bar that you also have a limit amount of time to fill or the primal is release he did not say what you have to do to fill the bar up i'm guessing we know later on. They would be weather effects once a primal is summon and something saying LS/FC have summon "Primal Name". I'm really hoping for ifrit and such they be red sky and ash falling![]()
He also said stuff like you can control who can summon the primal in your fc/ls and also summon primal in PVP battle if you like. Also you need a set amount of people to summon them i'm guessing so let's say your the last person standing you summon a primal and kill the boss due to the fact that it's at 10-15% or something. Also once you summon the primal you have a timer when you can go get other primal not sure if he mean your allow to get a different one or if you just not allow to get any other primal to that time is up.
I'm guessing odin would be allow to be under our control seeing how he a elder primal and he get stronger each time he is killed in battle. But ya every primal would be roaming in FFXIV you just got to go out there and find them and get them under your control
I can't remember if this was exactly what they said, but there was something about people misinterpreting the "roaming" part.
If I was SE as they increased their level cap I would make harder and harder fights available for us. For example lets say the level cap is 65 and they released 2 harder modes for Ifrit, the hardest mode would drop gear for a higher level. This would help create early content for people who want good gear as they level as well as gear as they reach the cap.
Yes but they still be roaming within that area that what i mean sorry maybe i should have made that clear. I think what they mean by roaming is they be within that spot.IIRC correctly it was stated that this was misinterpreted, that primals wouldn't be literally roaming all over the world but there will be in a specific area roaming, for example, if Ifrit is in X spot in thanalan, that is where he will always be roaming.

But i think SE should make it random where he pop next like sometime he in this spot in thanalan and sometime in this spot that give a better chance for people to get ifrit without everyone being there at the sametime but i guess that the point so i guess does not really matter
the point is he be roaming within a spot that he always be like odin.

Yes like rings, earings etc. , but maybe just one really good item and if people don't need the weapon they could turn it into materia or gc seals. If I was SE as they increased their level cap I would make harder and harder fights available for us. Don't you think people would bitch that they keep using the same battle just made it harder to get a better version of a item? like oh god now to do ifrit 500 more time just for a level 65 version of the wep i have 50lv and 60lv of.If I was SE as they increased their level cap I would make harder and harder fights available for us. i see what you going for but i think people be bitching about the fact that they don't come up with new stuff and just using the same thing over and over i have a feeling that would happen.

What SE should implement with these weapon is Stats that go with the job's strength. If one of WAR main stats is STR and Axe is the main weapon, then put both together. Don't add something that is not useful let's say "MND" to a weapon that is only used by WAR, and vice versa with other jobs. It makes the weapon unusable.
This is just an example. I've seen it with gear that can only be used by a certain jobs and have stats that doesn't have a thing to do with that job's stats.
IMO the primal weapons will just be collectables..i mean in 1.0 garuda>moogle>ifrit. as relics were fairly simple to attain they will most likely be the go to weapons depending on how they change the quest come 2.0. However for the people that are more casual or working on relics but havent gotten them yet id assuma that the new primal weapons will be better than the old.
