Primal weapons: to upgrade or not?

Yoshi-P said that Gear would be change to fit within the new battle system. So the darklight and primal weps may not be the same when you log in.

Also the primal battle are still around remember all the primal are free to walk around eorzea. The free company that find a primal would be teleport in there instances. Once you win the fight with the primal you gain there power and i'm sure they would also drop the chest to get there weps.

Also i'm sure there others way to fight the primal just to get there weps if you like.

Also yoshi-p said there still ways to get all the weps from the primal even king moogle the only battle that wont be in 2.0 would be anything to do with the empire so you can't get the raven item anymore or the hats.

All primals or just Odin? I know they said Odin will be roaming around but I never read about other primals doing the same.

All primal would be Roaming around Eorzea because your FC/LS can have one primal under your control. He give said once you find a primal there a way for you and your team mates would be teleport into the primal instance. He said if you win the fight you have a primal under your control for a set amount of time example he give was two weeks. You also have to fill in a bar that you also have a limit amount of time to fill or the primal is release he did not say what you have to do to fill the bar up i'm guessing we know later on. They would be weather effects once a primal is summon and something saying LS/FC have summon "Primal Name". I'm really hoping for ifrit and such they be red sky and ash falling

He also said stuff like you can control who can summon the primal in your fc/ls and also summon primal in PVP battle if you like. Also you need a set amount of people to summon them i'm guessing so let's say your the last person standing you summon a primal and kill the boss due to the fact that it's at 10-15% or something. Also once you summon the primal you have a timer when you can go get other primal not sure if he mean your allow to get a different one or if you just not allow to get any other primal to that time is up.

I'm guessing odin would be allow to be under our control seeing how he a elder primal and he get stronger each time he is killed in battle. But ya every primal would be roaming in FFXIV you just got to go out there and find them and get them under your control

Well I wonder if you have to be a summoner or have a summoner in your FC to be able to summon your primal or if anyone as a result of having defeated said primal can summon it?

Maybe the bar is like LB where you use all that power and send it to the summoner so they can summon the primal. But or maybe anyone for that matter it make more sense if you need a few summoner to summon him. Look at the beastmen themself it take more then one them to summon a primal and a lot of power from the crystals.

guess we have to wait and see what they do.

IIRC correctly it was stated that this was misinterpreted, that primals wouldn't be literally roaming all over the world but there will be in a specific area roaming, for example, if Ifrit is in X spot in thanalan, that is where he will always be roaming.

I can't remember if this was exactly what they said, but there was something about people misinterpreting the "roaming" part.

Yes but they still be roaming within that area that what i mean sorry maybe i should have made that clear. I think what they mean by roaming is they be within that spot.

But i think SE should make it random where he pop next like sometime he in this spot in thanalan and sometime in this spot that give a better chance for people to get ifrit without everyone being there at the sametime but i guess that the point so i guess does not really matter

the point is he be roaming within a spot that he always be like odin.
