Ive said it before, it could take 1% xp away and people would still be angry about it. It's the principle of the matter. If I wanna grind to cap with one class, then so be it. Don't punish players for playing they way THEY WANT TO PLAY.Surplus is fine. Keep it in.
10% exp cut will not stop you from leveling, and I seriously doubt any of you will ever hit the max rank of surplus.
If you do, go level another class to decrease the surplus on the job you have a lot of surplus on.
I swear, people complain about the most menial of things.
Nah. My real qualms with the game are lack of content, random game crashes, and crappy transportation methods. Not a system that isn't very noticeable. Sure, I see "you gain bonus skill points." But from getting 290 SP to 265, I really don't see what the big deal is.
In FFXI, it took months to get to 75 in the beginning, even more for casuals.
Why are people such in a rush to max rank in FFXIV?
There are MUCH bigger issues with the game right now than surplus.
That's a bit uncalled for.
I hope some are keeping in mind SP gain from 1-24 is blindingly fast with or without Fatigue.
No one is in a rush to reach cap. You people don't seem to understand. Its the simple fact that the feature is even there is absurd. You don't put such limitations on a MMO that supposed to be designed around freedom of what the player wants to do and expect people to eventually pay to play the game. It just does not work that way.Nah. My real qualms with the game are lack of content, random game crashes, and crappy transportation methods. Not a system that isn't very noticeable. Exactly. It's the principle. Nothing about this adds to the game.
Is this system in place so they can market it in China without government intervention?
This.
I would suggest that to make it so that ranking up multiple classes has more of a positive impact on your main class than it is now. That would encourage multiple job ranking without having a stupid system like fatigue force you to do so. If the devs think that "grinding to cap with one class" is undesirable behavior, then that person should be relatively gimped compared to a person who has one class at cap and decent progress in other jobs too.
There are plenty of MMOs out there that cater to your desire to solely play one class. You guys need to stop trying to make something out of nothing. If it truly was about principle you would have left the game by now.
Afterall, why would you continue to let your principals be compromised? Oh, right, this game is full of Masochists. -_-

Did you expect something witty?
I actually did leave the game, within the first week actually. I almost threw my copy in the trash. But I was a die hard FFXI fan, and I wanted to love FFXIV. Since the game became f2p I stuck with it. When they start the subs up, I will most likely quit if the fatigue system is still in place. There are plenty of MMOs out there that cater to your desire to solely play one class. And you completely miss the point of my argument. Stop being a dumbass and try to comprehend something for once kay? Not everyone wants to play the same way. The point of this system was to give freedom to the players. But that freedom was removed as soon as the fatigue system was put into play. Now players are being punished for playing how they want to play. It shouldnt ever be that way.
I don't want to play some other MMO. I want to enjoy FFXIV. But without criticism this game will NEVER improve. Rolling over and taking it up the ass like some stupid fanboy is how games get worse.
Don't force yourself to keep something you hate around, Masochist. They give you freedom to play...within boundaries, just like every other MMO. If you clearly don't enjoy something then play a game that lets you play how you want to play. Stop using excuses like "Oh, I'm a die hard FF fan."I actually did leave the game, within the first week actually. I almost threw my copy in the trash. No need to roll over. Considering I know, understand and enjoy the basic concepts and designs in this game. :P No Need to force it to be something else to "enjoy" it.

Yes, please get rid of it. There is no good reason for it to remain intact.
