Please get rid of surplus SP

Why isn't this system gone yet? It is very frustrating.

I understand it takes time to completely remove a system, but it would be incredibly easy to just disable it for the time being. You seem to trust us well enough with text commands - I think we can handle some meaningless surplus messages as long as we are still getting the right points. (as if anyone knows what the current messages mean.... this entire system's non-existence level should be increased)

Suggestions for quickly disabling the system:
a: increase the xp gained at all surplus levels to 100%
b. increase the amount of XP required to enter surplus to 1,000,000,000

This seems pretty simple to do. I'm sure someone can tell me how its a 6 month process.

I can only imagine the codebase is a convoluted mess when things take this long.
