Mine worked in FFXIV flawlessly. I could even log in, and then turn on my ds3 (related to motioninjoy) and have it work still.
That's the thing. Also, the "UI" is actually a website, so once the site goes down, or you don't have internet access, you're screwed.
I don't think the driver linked by Valmonte has BT support, but if you disable signature enforcement, you can at least use it wired with less problems.I wish there were DS3 drivers that would just allow me to connect/pair my controller once and then just forget about them.

I don't know if this would be of any use with this, I found this adapter mentioned a while ago:http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/raptorf...sa-08-06-2012/
Same here. I was using MotionJoy with a PS3 controller, but ended up buying a wireless Logitech F710 and have never looked back. Rumble works with FFXIV and the F710 too. ^^
Hmm... What's the battery life and the wireless range like on that one? And the D-pad? I've seen that one around a lot, but it's those things that have kinda kept me away from it.
I've been using it for several hours every night and I think I change the 2 AA batteries once every few months.Hmm... What's the battery life and the wireless range like on that one? And the D-pad? I've seen that one around a lot, but it's those things that have kinda kept me away from it.
I'm not sure about the range, or anything unusual about the D-pad. But going from the PS3 controller to this Logitech controller didn't really take any adjustment or feel unusual.
My only complaint about the F710 (DoomCky mentioned this as well) is that every once in a while it seems to go a bit haywire for a second -- usually on something with constant input like the joysticks. To me this is most noticeable if it happens while swinging the camera around. Even after releasing the camera control, it keeps moving in the same direction for about a second longer. Oddly though, I haven't noticed this with the running control joystick, meaning I'd keep running even after letting go... just the camera.
I'd say this 1 second of 'crazy camera' happens maybe once or twice a week. It hasn't been a serious problem for me even with an action combat RPG like PSO2 (that said, I have never been good at fast action, twitch reflex types of games where this type of thing could be more of a problem?). While a little annoying when it happens, it's not enough to put me off using this controller and to me it's still better than fiddling with trying to make the PS3 controller on a PC.
I use motionjoy on my ps3 controller, and i have been since the last 3 years of XI, and XIV also, actually dont even know how to use a kb in xiv. If anyone cares the dongle i use is TRENDnet TBW-105ub(easily ebayed).
Actually all you have to do is hit Local, then hit enable. I don't get why you need to restart it everytime either? The only time i open ds3 tool is when i boot up pc, other than that it runs indefinitely. I think you might mean everytime your controller goes to sleep, you have to restart xiv, i had that problem a long time ago, its a USB slot error, theres a fix somewhere online, i used a temp fix until one day it just went away...the temp fix is to plug in any wired controller peripheral then plug in the dongle so it takes up a different usb slot, should work in game fine. That's the thing. Did the rumble work in wireless mode too? I have been wanting to buy a compatible USB Bluetooth adapter to make it wireless, but I have not done so yet.I use motionjoy on my ps3 controller, and i have been since the last 3 years of XI, and XIV also, actually dont even know how to use a kb in xiv. Wow thats $59.99 for that adapter! Interesting device, but when I can buy a bluetooth adapter that is compatible with my MotionInJoy drivers for $10 to do the same thing. I'm thinking not so much! :PI don't know if this would be of any use with this, I found this adapter mentioned a while ago:http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/raptorf...sa-08-06-2012/
However this solution does do all controllers, I only have a PS3 so it doesn't make sense. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though![]()
you may not need a bluetooth adapter at all, most mid/high range motherboards have one built in.Did the rumble work in wireless mode too? I have been wanting to buy a compatible USB Bluetooth adapter to make it wireless, but I have not done so yet.
