    Force feedback on gamepads

I know XI had it and there was options for it in XIV in the gamepad screen. I had a PS3 controller that had to use MotioninJoy drivers. When I tested them the force feedback worked fine. However I never knew for sure if anybody actually got it to work? or if it was actually implemented.

Also does anybody know if Force Feedback is expected to be implemented in 2.0? I would assume yes I just need a gamepad the game supports. Such lists were never made though

Can anybody vouch for this? I know when I plugged in a gamepad for XI and felt my first NM sheep Rampaging Ram and my controller shaked as he walked by. It was a whole new experience of the game for me!

I know it was there for 1.0, I had it turn on once.

Logically it would be implemented for 2.0. However we won't know for sure till beta phase 2 when gamepads will be implemented or SE answers the question.

What controller did you use? I'd like to get my hands on a controller that will be compatible with XIV. The PS3 controller on PS3 obviously was not or at least not in the configuration I was using it in.

With MotionInJoy, you can make the computer think your PS3 controller is a 360 controller. So it'll work perfectly with PC games that have 360 settings. Or you can have it work as a normal USB gamepad. It's really flexible.

I use a PS3 controller for Dark Souls for example (and I texture swap the 360 buttons with PS3 buttons!)

    Xbox Live? NO
    but the controller will work!
PS3 controller, we making it for PS3, but FF won't work on it. because Sony does't support PC drivers. at least not anymore anyway :P and it's not easy to install!

I'll have to try this out thanks! It's just with solutions like this I have to wonder if it's the driver implementation for rumble not working with XIV. I just want some good confirmed working with force feedback in XIV. I haz sad that I have not experienced it yet.

Are those still unsigned? I'm not going to switch my x64 windows to debug mode on every restart... that's about the only reason I'm still using motionjoy.

I was using the PS2 to USB adapter and the drivers for it enabled force feedback. I switched to motionjoy + PS3 pad since then, but the FF was still there. I assumed motionjoy handled it, but now that the OP says FF didn't work... maybe it's the PS2 driver that added the rumble feature to the PS3 pad too? I have the driver backed up here, in case someone is interested.

As a sidenote: I remember I used to "predict" trees coming while getting the keystones for moogle cause the pad would vibrate when a big monster started walking near you.

there unsigned, but that should be a given all 3rd party drivers are either unsigned or spoofing a signed driver. Microsoft only signs drivers for big names and first parties.

CMD: bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS, allows you to use unsigned drivers anyway. i do alot of emulation so my PC's full of unsigned drivers and stuff.
