they have nerfed shell/protect but they STILL work as intended. go solo a boar as a mage with protect and see what it does to you >_>

Why do we need r50 weapons again? We dont ACTUALLY hit anything with them, we're mages (though I would like an r50 weapon, you know, for my epeen)

Seriously, there is no one class without its problems, but I'd be much happier for SE to fix the current problems at hand (battle mechanics, lack of content, Gridania) and then focus on balancing out than nitpicking all the little kinks in CON/THM.

What happened to constructive criticism and politeness? All i see in these forums is people having nothing better to do then bash on other people when they try to give their opinion.


I do agree with this post as in Mages are not they should be. SE always had the most impressive magics and summons and the mages in this game feel just weak and useless... just good enough for healing.

also agree that mage gear looks like crap, can't wait for that VIVI black mage gear.

- you can AoE a group of monster but you'll get exp/sp from only one

- 1000~1300 max hp, 3 hits or 1 skill hit from a monster cost your life (at this moment, when Shell/Protect nerfed)

- and you need 100+ vit allotment just to have little more hp, can take one more hit from mobs

- WTF is elemental allotment? I reassign them so many time and still can't see any different

- potato sack is your gear!! wear it!!

- no r50 weapon, no top rank unique weapon

- a piece of branch is your staff/rod!! use it!

- AM.... wait 25 sec, 100MP and deal 50 critical damage to the Great Buffalo

- 15~30 action bar slots need, but you have to live with the worst action bar in the MMO history

- when you want to scroll down to 2nd or 3rd action bar, you press UP or DOWN and it toggle your target type and then you die because your action bar and target type was fu--ed up

wth are you complaining for? They just gave you unlimited MP a few patches ago. Now you're complaining for more HP?

That's gotta be it, because (before the mp regen patch) as soon as I had Siphon MP, I never had MP problems ever leveling conjurer.

I don't play either mage now because it's too boring. No mp management or skill required. Might as well just play a melee.

Not only Dodore, but they can solo/tank Goblin NM with all it's minions as well.. and FNMs? Forget about it. They are even easier to solo/duo as a mage.

Mages are not weak. You have no idea what you're talking about. They are actually quite overpowered especially with both ranked to 50.

I'm sorry, I just become rude after wading through garbage post after garbage post, and then reading hundreds of replies by people defending garbage posts. And this individual is known for posting responses that are nothing more than 1 liners with the intent to say something rude.

I don't want to read your copy pasted crap from another troll thread. That thread is about as pointless as your statements about this one are. Don't read the 'garbage posts' then and make your own dammit, I mean you have no place to tell someone their thread is 'crap' because you don't agree with what they said.

You do realize with you getting fed up and lashing out, doesn't scream maturity on your behalf and is harder for people to grasp your point of not being immature on the boards. Follow what you preach, if you want to get your point across better. With Blood Rite II, Profundity and a BR your nukes can do a decent bit of dmg but overall having to rely on CD's to do that amount of dmg does kinda suck.

Overall though, I mean Yoshi-P has been saying in a couple weeks we will get our outline and our patch 'preparing us for 4man/8mans.. and he also said before that he didn't want to release 4mans/8mans until after battle changes were in affect. So maybe we will see some re-balancing with mage/melee soon
