
true you got a point there, that might be usefullIf a monster does a crazy AOE and the range of it is lets say 20 yalms, and your a caster that wants to dodge as much as you can, you can stand @ 19 yalms from the monster and as soon as you see the monster cast that big aoe move, you just step back 2 yalms and now your out of range and wont get hit. That's just one example but there are many usefully reason as to why one would want to know the distance from it's target.
