Im not prepared to request stuff so far outside the norm that it pidgeonholes their battle design. A ship combat, however, has already been done, and can be effectively choreographed without forcing the underwater factor this early into 2.0's life.
No reason why underwater can't be an equally fun design though. Honestly, I hope we'll actually be getting multiple repeat-worthy fights per primal, each with diverse gameplay perspectives.
